The detailed specification of welded steel grating
Steel grating is deviled into welded steel grating, Swage locked steel grating, Dovetail press steel grating. Welded type is most common, the two other is similar with weld type, so there are information just for weld type.
- Length:The length is meaning the length of bearing bar. The length of steel grating is longerthan the width, expect trench cover grating.
- Width: The width of steel grating is meaning the length of cross bar. The width of steel grating is shorter than the length, expect trench cover grating.
- Material：Carton steel, stainless steel, aluminum.
3.1 Carton steel: also named mild steel(MS)
3.2 Stainless steel(SS)：grade: 201, 304, 316, 316L are common.
3.3 Aluminum:
- surface treatment：
4.1For carton steel grating：
4.1.1 untreated：some customer buy it, then do the surface treatment by himself.
4.1.2 painted: it is common use for floor steel grating.
4.1.3 Hot dip galvanized(HDG): our standard zinc coated is 50μm（350g/m2）, max is 85um( 600 g/m2）
4.2 For stainless steel grating:
4.2.1 untreated：
4.2.2 Abrasive Blast：A uniform, matte finish achieved by abrasive blasting.
4.2.3 Electro-Polished：A bright chrome-like appearance achieved by immersion in chemicals that clean and “polish” the base metal.

5.2.2 Thickness: mm and inch is common is measuring unit, 1 inch=25.4mm. mm: 2-5 are common. Inch: 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″, 3/8”, 5/16” are common.
